It’s going to be Black & White at Casa do Lago

Those of you going to the mid-week dinner dance at Casa do Lago on Tuesday 12th September in Gala Week are advised that the event is being themed as a black & white party. This follows along the same lines as other Gala Week themed events that we have had in the past such as the ‘Texan’ barbecue, the ‘Spanish’ night, and the ‘masked’ Gala Dinner. Dig into your wardrobe and get ready to party!

Back to school help for charity

Tracey Williams would like to thank all the Ladies who have helped so much with the ‘Back to School’ initiative. As you can see from the photo, thanks to the generosity of the lady members, she has got a whole range of products that she will passing on to the charity organisers for distribution to local schools ready for the start of the new year in September. 

All change this Friday

Don’t forget that this Friday is the set date for the big makeover on the Quinta do Lago courses. New scorecards, newly re-rated courses, new tees and new distance markers will all be ready to go from 1st September. The new tees (in order of distance from the green) will be black, gold, silver and green. All tees have been rated for men, and all tees except the blacks have been rated for women. The standard Club tees for competitions will be gold for men, and silver for ladies.

Look after your valuables around the clubhouse and on the course

There have been some reports from here as well as other local golf clubs of incidents of theft,especially from buggies on the course and cars in the car parks. Please make sure at all times that valuables are safely put away, and that cars are locked at all times. Also please be wary of leaving valuables in buggies and trolleys on the course; they are much safer either in your car or in a locker in the clubhouse. Thank you.
